Designing and documenting technically feasible IT architectural solutions which can be integrated within the organizations environment, including the custodianship of resulting architectural artifacts (Reference and working models, as-is and to-be architectures / road maps, architecture templates, etc.).
Architecting solutions to address complex integration and product requirements.
Ensuring compliance with, and adherence to, the organizations standards and protocols with respect to privacy and security of information.
Ensuring solutions safeguard information and other assets of the organization by following and complying with organizational policies.
In conjunction with the Enterprise Architecture Group, defining, maintaining and monitoring architectural principles, procedures and practices in support of the business and technological vision of the organization.
Defining the architectural direction for products and services that aligns with both the short and long-term business needs and objectives.
Introducing processes, tools, techniques and procedures into the technology environment to support: the consistent application of principles, improvement in productivity, efficiency and quality of projects, applications and technical solutions
Participating in the identification and/or proposal of new health sector standards, following through to standard completion.
Conducting research, providing analyses and recommendations for the selection of commercial off-the-shelf packages, system components, standards and processes.
Conducting quality assurance reviews and signs-off on project design deliverables and providing documented feedback.
Analyzing technology synergies and integration opportunities with IT partners and creating plans to realize such opportunities.
Evaluating, reviewing and participating in the procurement of new technical solutions where appropriate.
Creating presentation materials and presenting to various stakeholder groups at all levels of the organization
Supporting the detailed planning, design, configuration, testing and integration of technological frameworks and solutions
Possess broad-based expertise in designing mid to large scale n-tier web applications using Microsoft .Net and Java technologies.
Expertise should cover some of
Enterprise Architecture, including Process and Data Modeling
Relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server and information retrieval packages
Distributed computing, OOAD including Rational Unified Process, COM/DCOM, BizTalk, including component technology
Messaging middleware such as MQ Series, MSMQ and messaging standards (XML, HTML, SOAP, SPML).
Development methodologies such as UML, testing strategies, GUI solutions
Networking technology, security and infrastructure components
Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and EAI
Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and the Rational Unified Process development methodology.
Have demonstrated ability and experience in providing technical leadership to an application development staff in the following areas: Object Oriented (OO) analysis, design and development; Design Patterns
Be knowledgeable in Service Management frameworks (such as ITIL), Solution delivery frameworks (such as CMMI), IT Security principles and solutions applicable to the healthcare sector
Have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization
Show a sense of urgency, live up to commitments, and follow up with team members to ensure satisfaction with commitments made to others
Become a proactive and committed member of the team. Demonstrate personal excellence in technical competency bringing knowledge, expertise and personal credibility to the team; contributing to team decisions, and mentoring.
Have an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or applicable business discipline or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in all aspects of IT projects
