Contract

You will be working in a small, growing Web 2.0 development shop that also has a venture fund component to their business. They are investing in, and helping clients/partners rapidly bring products to market. They have had several successful projects You will be developing web 2.0 type applications for the web and mobile handsets using Java/J2EE/J2ME and Ruby on Rails primarily in an Agile (paired-programming, test-driven development) environment. You will also be using other new technologies such as AJAX in order to deliver the richest user experience possible.

- 2-5 yrs. experience developing web-based applications based on Java/J2EE technologies - commercial experience developing applications using Ruby and Ruby on Rails - experience with AJAX and other new front-end development tools (ie. Google toolkit) - experience working with Apache, and other related open-source technologies (ie. Linux, Drupal, Joomla, etc.) - excellent communication and interpersonal skills - entrepreneurial drive/nature

- experience with Agile or XP methodologies would be a major asset - experience with social networking, - experience dealing with external clients - experience with J2ME and/or development for handsets
